The enclosed mall of the Tauranga Crossing had their grand opening last week, welcoming the public to their new facilities and a host of retail experiences.
Steve Lewis, the CEO of the Tauranga Crossing, released a statement celebrating the opening of the establishment. “This is a huge moment for everyone involved at Tauranga Crossing and we are delighted to welcome our community into their new shopping mall. The feedback from everyone so far has been fantastic and we look forward to welcoming the wider community to the centre.”
The event featured complimentary breakfasts, roaming entertainment and a ribbon cutting ceremony from the children of local primary schools alongside Tauranga Mayor Greg Brownless. The fun-filled event matched the excitement locals have expressed about the malls opening, which includes over 100 stores, restaurants and eateries.
Following the grand opening, the mall’s opening hours have been revised. The centre is now open until 9 pm for Thursday late-nights, with The Observatory eateries will stay open until 10 pm throughout the week.
