As the Paris Couture shows were cancelled this season, Viktor & Rolf contemplated skipping this season. However, their creativity and drive pushed the brand to produce their Couture Fall 2020 collection with an accompanying short film.
The short film was titled "Change", taking the form of a traditional show in a couture salon with singer Mika providing the voiceover in the style of a British newsreel from the fifties.
The show was divided into three sections: anxiety and sadness, confusion, and, love and hope. Each section consisted of three looks, a nightgown, a dressing gown and a coat. The array of emotions expressed through this collection reflects the feelings that we are all feeling during this uncertain time.
