One of New Zealand’s most exciting emerging artists, Jasmine Kroeze, launched a collaboration with the leading outdoor brand Kathmandu. The unique spring/summer range offers limited edition print-based t-shirt designs for men and women.
Inspired by her connection to earth, nature, and the sky, every piece is designed exclusively by Kroeze. Beginning as an artist over 12 years ago, creating original artwork started at her oceanside home studio at Pāpāmoa Beach. Artwork included large-scale murals, digital designs, and illustrations.
“I would describe my work as colourful chaos made up of cut-out shapes. I get my inspiration from the world around me; the beauty of nature offers so many possibilities to get creative,” said Kroeze.
When the collaboration began in 2021, Kroeze worked virtually with Kathmandu’s apparel team for over eight weeks. Having complete creative autonomy from inception to finished design, Kroeze explained she was astounded when Kathmandu reached out to collaborate.
“To be approached by such a well-known kiwi brand was an honour and I was so excited the team loved my art,” said Kroze.
The collection includes a women’s boxy-fit simple line tee, beautifully simplistic and uniquely representative of nature’s contours – available in Red Earth and Light Quartz. Also, the women’s boyfriend-style tee demonstrates Jasmine’s design approach to ‘colourful chaos’ with cut-out shapes like that of horizons and ridgelines. Finally, the men’s Topo lines tee showcases aerial views of natural landscapes, detailing abstract rivers, lakes, and farms.

Fry emphasised their pride in working with kiwi artists who are just as inspired by New Zealand’s impressive nature as they are.
